Design is all about shape, colour and texture.

My career as an interior designer stems from a love of colour, shape and texture.  Having been brought up in Africa, I was surrounded by rich colour and exotic, intricate patterns and wonderful textures which have never left me. Having started my working career designing coffee table books, where layout came first, placing shapes: text and pictures, using their negative space to enhance the page, provided me with a discipline for my Interior Design.  Using this skill came in handy when we bought a ruined Hall and developed it into a hotel complex. I only had the four walls to start with as there was no roof on most of it. So from the ground floor one could look up four floors up to the sky!

My projects range from private properties to boutique hotels and Inns, all of which I have meticulously finished and colour coordinated using only top quality materials - modern and period furniture using unusual textiles to change the "feel" of the piece. I am a perfectionist and proud of my work and am happiest discussing needs with my clients, advising them, sourcing materials and watching their reactions as the property takes shape.

My husband and I purchased a magnificent ruined Hall with a sweeping views, and developed it into a first class hotel complex with Apartments, Ballrooms, kitchens, and Restaurant.   This hall totalled 22 properties and I was in charge of the rebuild, renovation and most importantly for me … the interior design.  To do this I ran a company of 35 skilled men and designed the look and feel of a Country House.
